The Bosnian Pyramids near Visoko are a group of hill formations north of Sarajevo promoted since 2005 as ancient man-made pyramids. Presented as a tourist destination, the site offers marked paths and viewpoints around the Pyramid of the Sun—the largest and most visited hill—along with the nearby Pyramid of the Moon and Pyramid of Love, which also have walking routes and scenic overlooks. An excavated network known as the Ravne Tunnels lies beneath the hills and is arranged for guided tours, while a visitor centre and small museum present exhibits about the excavations, local history and the site’s promotion. The surrounding countryside provides pleasant hiking opportunities and panoramic views of the Visoko valley, making the area suitable for day trips from Sarajevo (about 30–40 minutes by car). Most visitors come in spring through autumn, as winter access can be affected by snow; facilities include guided tours, small cafés and souvenir stalls, and some areas and tunnels require paid admission. It is important to note that the mainstream international archaeological community does not accept the claim that these hills are engineered ancient pyramids; many visitors choose to go for the experience of the tunnels, the landscape and the local interpretation of the site.
